Yesterday the National Appliance Repairs office received a call from a customer in Newcastle Co. Dublin. The customer reported that their Baumatic fridge had a pool of water on the base of the fridge. We arranged for a technician to call out at 8am this morning. At National Appliance Repairs we repair and service all types of domestic appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, ovens, tumble dryers, condenser dryers, fridges, freezers and cookers. The technician called out to the house this morning and the customer suggested that maybe the seal was loose and this was causing the pool of water. So the technician began to examine the machine. Straight away he could see the problem, the drainage pipe at the back of the fridge that would normally collect the excess moisture was blocked. Normally the excess moisture or sweat that occurs in a fridge is collected in the drainage pipe which drips the water onto the warm cooling pipes and the moisture is then evaporated. As this was blocked the excess water had nowhere to go so it began to collect on the base of the fridge. The technician unblocked the drain pipe and explained to the customer what to do in case the drain pipe ever blocked again. The fridge returned to working order within the hour and with no parts required.

The National Appliance Repairs office received a call from a customer in Navan Co. Meath. The Customer described their Whirlpool dishwasher to be turning on and starting the cycle but then turning off and thus not going through a full cycle. It was arranged for a technician to call out and have a look the next morning. When the technician arrived he inspected the machine and found there to be a blockage in the dishwasher wash pump. He removed the blockage and the machine was back in full working order with minimal cost to the customer. The National Appliance Repairs office received a call from a customer in Navan Co. Meath who was reporting to have a Hotpoint washing machine that was not draining. The types of services that we give to clients include washing machine repair, dishwasher repair, washer dryer repair, cooker repair, fridge repair, oven repair, and freezer repair. It was arranged that a technician would call out the next afternoon. The technician arrived to inspect the machine and found the base to be full of water. The technician emptied the water manually out of the base of the machine. The technician then opened the inspection plate underneath and disconnected the drain pump. There was glass found to be blocking the propeller, so the technician removed this and refitted the drain pump. He then set the machine onto a programme and it was back to working order with no parts required.

The office received an email from a letting agent customer in Dublin who had tenants who reported their Whirlpool dishwasher had stopped cleaning and the water was still in the machine and therefore would need a technician as soon as possible. National Appliance Repairs always welcomes new business from property companies, letting agents, landlords as well as our household customer. The agent asked for us to call the tenants to arrange a appointment that suited them. The technician arrived out to the house the next morning to inspect the machine. The repair was relatively simple as the technician found there to be a block in the dishwasher drain pipe. The machine was fixed in a very short matter of time and back to full working order.

A call was received to the National Appliance Repairs office from a customer in Dublin with a Hotpoint washer dryer which at the end of the cycle the door would not open.  We then arranged for a technician to call out and have a look at the door. At National Appliance Repairs we have many years experience in repairing all types of appliances in the Dublin, Kildare, Meath, West Meath and Wicklow areas. Usually a washer dryer door will not open for several reasons, the two most common would be,  the water has not drained out of the machine due to fault or blockage, or else there may be a fault with the door itself. On arrival the technician discovered that the problem was with the door closing mechanism itself. The door handle and locking pin where replaced on the spot and the door was back to full working order
