The National Appliance Repairs office received a call from a customer in Roundwood County Wicklow who was reporting that their Zanussi top freezer fridge was not working and there were puddles of water collecting in the fridge. The office arranged a time with the customer for the following day to have the technician out to service the fridge freezer. The technician could straight away see that there was a problem with the defrost tube. He explained that normally the automatic defrost system in the freezer would thaw out the frozen condensation by allowing it to escape through the tube, but if the ice builds up then the water can freeze in the tube and block the system. So therefore the water ends up in the fridge. He then found the small drain hole in the back of the freezer an poured hot water down the tube to remove the blockage until the water ran freely. Then he was able to switch the refrigeration back on and it was back to full working order.

The National Appliance Repairs office received a call from a customer in Balbriggan County Dublin reporting that their Bosch SHU5300 dishwasher fills with water when turned off. We arranged with the customer to have a technician out to inspect the machine the following afternoon. The technician arrived at the house the next day and inspected the machine. He explained to the customer that this can be a common issue on these units and the water valve would need to be replaced. The valve is not closing all the way and therefore allowing water into the machine when powered off. The technician carries a stock of common parts in the van so he was able to replace the valve there on the spot. The machine was restored to full working order within the hour.

The National Appliance Repairs office received a phone call from a customer  in Newbridge County Kildare who reported that the glass was loose on her Creda oven door as she had slammed the oven door too hard and as a result the glass had popped out of place and the oven door would not close properly. We arranged a suitable time for a technician to call out and have a look. We sent out one of our technicians to have a look first thing the next morning and he diagnosed that the glass could be reset into the oven door rather than having to replace the glass or the entire door. When this had set he was able to bring the door back to the house and attach the door back on the oven.  The job was completed with minimal cost for the customer.

 

The National Appliance Repairs office received an email from a customer in Goatstown Dublin 14 who was reporting that their Whirlpool dishwasher had stopped mid cleaning cycle and the water was still in the machine and therefore would need a technician as soon as possible. National Appliance Repairs always welcomes new business from property companies, letting agents, landlords as well as our household customer. We arranged then with the customer an appointment that suited them. The technician arrived out to the house the next morning to inspect the machine. The repair was relatively simple as the technician found there to be a block in the dishwasher drain pipe. The machine was fixed in a very short matter of time and back to full working order.

The National Appliance Repairs office received a call from a customer in Smithfield Dublin 7 that was reporting that their Neff dishwasher was not working. The machine would not start the cycle. The customer suggested a time the following day that would be suitable for a technician to inspect the machine. On arrival the technician inspected the machine and found there to be a blockage in the drain pipe, in this case it was blocked by fat that had been poured into the sink. He disconnected the waste pipe from the sink waste pipe and removed the solidified fat from the drain pipe. He then reconnected the pipe and ensured it was still in place. He then tested the machine and found the blockage had been successfully cleared and the machine was back to working order straight away.
