The technician inspected the machine upon arrival and found that the main on/off switch had burnt out. He had a spare in his van so he was able to fit the part there and then for the customer and had the washing machine back to full working order.

The customer reported their Hotpoint washer dryer to have stopped working mid cycle with steam coming out of it. The machine also had a clicking noise coming out of it. The technician arrived to the house this morning and upon inspection of the machine he could see the oven was not heating up due to the oven element was no longer working. The technicians carry a stock of common spare parts in the van he was able to replace the 2500w oven element there and then. The oven was fixed and the job was completed within the hour.

The landlord passed on the tenant’s phone number and we arranged a suitable time for the technician to call out. The technician arrived and found the machine to be tripping the electricity due to a leak from the wash pump. The machine had been leaking for a long time and then this meant the base of the machine was flooded, the wash motor seized and all electrical terminals had rusted through. Therefore the technician recommended a replacement machine as would have been uneconomical to fix the machine. The technician explained this to the landlord and they agreed that the technician would collect and install a new machine and would remove the old machine. This meant the job was done efficiently with minimal disruption to all involved.

He explained to the customer that this meant they would need to replace the oven element. He had the job completed and the oven back to full working order within the hour.
